Yogini Dasha Significance
In any horoscope yogini dasha works well up to thirty six years and if we look at the useful years of any person then we find that up to thirty six years one gets physical developments, education, involvement in job, spouse & children and many other useful events thus this yogini dasha becomes significant. In my long experience in the field of Vedic jyotish I have found that this yogini dasha has three cycles:
First cycle runs from birth to 36 years.
Second cycle is from 36 years to 72 years.
Third cycle is from 72 years to 108 years.
There are in total 8 Yoginis namely ..
1.Mangala(Chamunda) - Moon
2. Pingala (Maheswari) - Sun
3. Dhanya (Maha Lakshmi) - Jupiter
4. Bhramari(Brahmi) - Mars
5. Bhadrika(Koumaari) - Mercury
6. Ulka (Varahi) - Saturn
7. Siddha (Vaishnavi) - Venus
8. Sankata (Mahendari) - Rahu
Out of these 4 are good ( 1,2,3 and 7) and others are considered inauspicious.
Mahadasha of Yoginis are of the duration of their sequence number..like 1st Yogini for 1 year,2nd for 2 years and likewaise.
In my observation I have seen people doing very well under inauspicious Yogini MD and very bad under auspicious Yogini MD.
Hence considering the natal chart, Vimshottari MD and the Gochar is a better way for correct predictions.
Since yogini is a nakshatra dasha, its balance of dasha should be calculated first to use it in horoscopes for predictive purposes. Nowadays several software display the details of yogini maha dasha and yogini antardasha but the mathematical calculations for yogini dasha and antardasha are given below as a hint only:
Add three to the number of nakshatra and their sum should be divided by eight. Leave the quotient and take into consideration the remainder. Remainder from one to zero indicates Mangla, Pingla, Dhanys, Bhamri, Bhadrika, Ulka, Siddha and Sankata respectively at birth or at the time of query.
Ashwani, Magha & Mool nakshatras have been allotted the numbers one, ten and nineteen respectively.
Bharni, Poorvaphalguni and Poorvashada nakshatras have been allotted the numbers two, eleven and twenty respectively.
Kritika, Uttarphalguni and Uttrashada nakshatras have been allotted the numbers three, twelve and twenty one respectively.
Rohini, Hasta and Shravana nakshatras have been allotted the numbers four, thirteen and twenty two respectively.
Mrigshira, Chitra and Dhanshita nakshatras have been allotted the numbers five, fourteen and twenty three respectively.
Ardara, Swati and Shatbhisa nakshatras have been allotted the numbers six, fifteen and twenty four respectively.
Punarvasu, Vishakha and Poorvabhadrapada nakshatras have been allotted the numbers seven, sixteen and twenty five respectively.
Pushya, Anuradha and Uttrabhadrapada nakshatras have been allotted the numbers eighth, seventeen and twenty six respectively.
Ashlesha, Jyestha and Revati have been allotted the numbers nine, eighteen and twenty seven respectively.
Longitude of the Moon expressed in degrees should be multiplied by sixty and divided by eight hundred and then take the decimal part only. That decimal part should be multiplied by the number of years allotted to the concerned yogini years and then subtract this from the years allotted to that concerned yogini. And the result after that subtraction when expressed in days, months and years will indicate the bhogya dasha of yogini at birth and when this is added to date of birth then it will indicate the ending date, month and year of the yogini dasha balanced at birth. The dasha sequences of yogini have been given in several foregoing paragraphs. You can also calculate the yogini dasha balanced at birth by replacing longitude of Moon with that of the sidereal ascendant.
The yogini antardasha in a yogini mahadasha is very important. To find the yogini antardasha in a yogini mahadasha just multiply the period of yogini mahadasha and and that period you want to know as the period of yogini antardasha and divide the product by thirty six and the resultant when expressed in days, months and years will indicate the yogini antardasha in a yogini mahadasha.
